Research & Policy
HousingWorks RI is committed to increasing awareness of the impact of housing needs in Rhode Island. Through our research, we offer data-based resources to inform local policymakers, professionals in the field and residents.
Our key annual publication, the Housing Fact Book, provides an in-depth analysis of housing affordability throughout Rhode Island with an overview of statewide indicators and housing facts for each municipality. Through data visualization and analysis, the Housing Fact Book is a robust resource for those working in the field of housing and community development as well as an accessible tool for anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge of housing in Rhode Island.
Through our research, we offer data-based resources to inform local policymakers, professionals in the field and residents.
In addition to the Housing Fact Book, other publications include Issue Briefs and Special Reports that highlight specific housing and policy issues. We are also launching a biannual Housing Market Report which will track market indicators throughout the year.
Our research team also takes on longer mixed-methods research projects, which can involve the collection of new qualitative data through focus groups or key informant interviews, to dive deeper into significant housing issues facing Rhode Island. These projects produce original research, white papers, and scholarly reports.
