Valley Breeze: The homeless at center of debate over city's response to crisis
WOONSOCKET - How do you protect someone who's homeless when the entire population has been told to stay home?
That was the question Monday night as city councilors debated several proposals intended to lessen the impact of the COVID-19 measures on Woonsocket's homeless population.
After several weeks of back and forth with other councilors on whether the measures could be considered under the current guidelines for virtual meetings, Councilor Alex Kithes succeeded in bringing a series of proposals to the table for debate.
