ProJo: Raimondo plans bigger investments in housing, infrastructure, parks, beaches

PROVIDENCE - Praising it as a necessary step in generating jobs and rebuilding the state economy during an economic downturn with record unemployment, Gov. Gina Raimondo announced an increase in investments for housing and infrastructure as well as state parks and beaches in her fiscal year 2021 budget.
Raimondo proposed increasing her Housing Infrastructure Bond by $223 million, bringing it to a total of $310 million. The proposal has been sent to the House and Senate for consideration.
