At first glance, Rhode Island's housing market may be mistaken for the Wild West. But instead of cowboys slinging guns in saloons, the scene is rife with prospective buyers flocking to open houses, waiving inspections, offering up cash and penning love letters.

This isn't a game for the faint of heart.
