ProJo: Man sleeping in Providence street dies when run over

The man, 61, who mostly lived on the city's streets, appears to have been sleeping in the roadway when the vehicle ran him over on Pearl Street about a block from Broad Street, police Commander Thomas Verdi said. The driver fled the scene after striking the man.
