BURRILLVILLE — There will only be 75 apartments built at Greenridge Commons, a new affordable development in Pascoag, but the waiting list is already at 400. About 26 of the units are built and occupied, and construction is still under way.
Executive Director Joe Garlick and the staff of NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley (NBRV), a nonprofit community development corporation based in Woonsocket, welcomed housing advocates from across Rhode Island to their site Friday morning for a ribbon cutting and tour.
Greenridge is located at the intersection of South Main Street (Route 100) and Lapham Farm Road. Christian Caldarone of NBRV said the new Pascoag project also includes 21 apartments under construction in downtown Pascoag, bringing the total number of new homes to 96.
