JOB OPENING: Project Director Health Equity Zone, HEZ (EBCAP0818)

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), the Backbone agency for the East Providence Health Equity Zone, is seeking candidates to oversee implementation of this innovative Rhode Island Department of Public Health-funded initiative. The Director will build a Collaborative of residents and other community stakeholders to implement a data driven plan of action to address the unique social, economic, and environmental factors impacting the health and wellness of city residents. The Director will also collaborate closely with EBCAP internal departments, the RI Department of Health, and the network of HEZs throughout the state.

A successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) in a Human Service, Public Health, and/or Public Administration field. Prior experience with integrating community programming and public relations required. Must have demonstrated experience in budget management, staff supervision, program development, community organizing, advocacy, community engagement, developing coalitions and data analysis. Must have excellent oral, writing, analytical, and engagement skills. The candidate must have prior experience working with a community that is rich in diversity, as is East Providence.
