EOH: Round 2 - Entry Level Homeownership Program

The Rhode Island Executive Office of Housing announced the opening of the second RFP for funding under the Housing 2030 Entry Level Homeownership program with approximately $12.5M available to support the development of affordable for sale housing.

In order to promote housing opportunities throughout Rhode Island, EOH has allocated $20 million dedicated to affordable homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income households. The Housing 2030 Entry Level Homeownership Program strives to create this opportunity for households that otherwise have not had access to this crucial means of increasing household prosperity and intergenerational wealth. Approximately $7.5M was awarded in the first round of funding, and information about projects awarded funding in round 1 is available at EOH's website.

As in round 1, funding is limited to $100,000 per affordable unit, with a limit of $50,000 per unit for affordable units in a comprehensive permit project that is majority market-rate.

All subsidized units must be sold to buyers at no more than 120% of AMI, and sales price is limited to the lower of the maximum affordable price on EOH’s purchase price calculator, or $399,999, whichever is lower.
