The Valley Breeze: Walking trail, affordable housing part of Slater Village development

NORTH SMITHFIELD – A 120-unit housing complex planned for Victory Highway is nearing the end of its approval process, with a final vote on the project anticipated next month.

Slater Village is a 55-plus adult active and assisted living community that will be located about 3,000 feet west of the intersection of Victory Highway and North Main Street. The same company that built the Silver Pines condominiums is behind the project, and the two are expected to connect via a private road.
