The Valley Breeze: Officials: Property sold to Housing Authority is for seniors

NORTH PROVIDENCE – The Town Council last week agreed to Mayor Charles Lombardi’s proposal to sell a town-owned property on Charles Street to the North Providence Housing Authority next door, setting the stage for an expansion of the existing senior housing.

Lombardi said the $75,000 price tag brings back “a pretty good chunk” of the $200,000 the town spent in buying this property and others in the Marieville area from National Grid.
