To Tweet or Not to Tweet? -Social Media Training
Event Date: July 1, 2010 - 9:00 am
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, YouTube, Blogs, Flickr... social media seems to be popping up everywhere! For nonprofits, these can be important communication tools - they are free, flexible, and enable organizations to engage with large numbers of existing and prospective supporters, both regionally and globally, fast! And most importantly, social media are some of the most cost-effective marketing tools on the planet. Learn if these tools are a fit for your organization and if so, how your organization can put social networks to work to accomplish your goals and objectives.
Strong communications relies on integrating traditional forms of marketing and PR with the new forms of social media. This workshop hosted by HousingWorks RI, the Poverty Institute and the RI Coalition for the Homeless will explain how the web has expanded our marketing and PR toolbox, and how you can create an action plan for harnessing the power of these new tools. Both tracks offered will be tailored to the needs of the participants. Please be sure to fill out your registration carefully and let us know what you want to learn. Register Now
