Tiverton recognized with a 2011 Partners in Housing Award

The town of Tiverton, RI was recognized with the 'Municipal Award' at the 2011 Partners in Housing Awards ceremony held last week at the State House.

Created by Rhode Island Housing, the Awards honor members of the housing community who demonstrate outstanding commitment and achievement in ensuring affordable and healthy homes for all Rhode Islanders.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Town was Christopher P. Spencer, Tiverton's Town Planner and members of the Town Council, Robert D. Coulter, David M. Nelson, and Edward A. Roderick.

The Town was saluted for its support and commitment to the creation of Bourne Mill and Sandywoods Farm. Both are nationally recognized for excellence in providing healthy, affordable homes and enhancing the community.
