Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston offers training on June 1

You are invited to join the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston for an AHP training session on Wednesday, June 1 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, 801 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick, Rhode Island.
A special morning session (9:00- 10:30) will be held for the bank's financial partners, which includes commercial and community banks, credit unions, insurance companies and other members of the Bank. Developers, community partners and members of the Bank are invited to join the group in the afternoon (11:00- 2:30) for a general AHP training.
The morning session will focus on how affordable-housing development can boost your business and local economy. Representatives from Rhode Island Housing and LISC will also be available to discuss leveraging other development resources with AHP.
The afternoon session will cover AHP scoring, feasibility, retention, and other requirements of the application.

The 2011 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) is a competitive source of financing for affordable rental and homeownership projects. Approximately $8.6 million in grants and interest-rate subsidy is available this year. Since 1990, AHP has financed over 1,000 units of housing in Rhode Island.
