We look forward to the opportunity to network, learn and share best practices with you in October!

Monday, October 2, 2017 - Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Omni Providence Hotel 1 West Exchange Street Providence, RI 02903

The I’M HOME Conference brings together a diverse group of housing professionals to unlock the potential of manufactured housing, and create more access to the single-largest source of unsubsidized affordable housing in the U.S.

Speakers and attendees will include:

  • Affordable housing developers, managers and advocates
  • Leading manufactured housing experts
  • Community leaders and homeowners
  • Academics and researchers
  • Regulators Federal, state and local policymakers

Since 2005, CFED and a select group of national partners including the Ford Foundation, Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, NeighborWorks® America, Rural LISC, ROC USA®, Next Step®, NCB Capital Impact, and Fannie Mae have worked to unlock the potential of manufactured housing through the Innovations in Manufactured Homes (I’M HOME) initiative. Our goal is to transform manufactured homes into valuable family assets offering the opportunity to build equity and achieve economic security. The basic hypothesis underlying I'M HOME is that holistic improvements across the following four areas will enable owners of manufactured homes to take advantage of factory-built housing’s affordability while also having the opportunity to build wealth in a way that more closely resembles the experience of owners of site-built housing:

  • Home Installation and Quality
  • Long-Term Land Control
  • Mortgages and Other Key Financial Products
  • Public Policy Reforms
