Tell us your housing story this Saturday
HousingWorks RI will launch the Vote Yes on 9 campaign at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, September 9, at WaterFire in Providence. We’ll be under a tent at the corner of College Street and North Main Street gathering real Rhode Islanders’ stories for our “50 Stories in 50 Days for $50 Million.”
Stop by and tell us what home means to you. There will be games and activities for adults and kids, so bring your family! Check out the new campaign website, enjoy a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and coffee milk and pick up Vote Yes on 9 palm cards, bumper stickers and lapel stickers.
Call 272-YES9 for more information.
Can’t make it to WaterFire?
Even if you can’t make it to WaterFire, be sure to check out yeson9ri.org. The site – full of information on Question 9, ideas on how to get involved in the campaign and even a chance to practice voting yes on Question 9 – will go live this Saturday.
And if you have a housing story to share, we want to hear from you! Are you working full-time but still unable to afford a decent apartment? Dreaming of your first home but paying so much for rent you can’t save for a down payment? Has another person or organization helped you attain a home?
Share your story by contacting Jessica Rutledge at 272-YES9. Your story may be one of the “50 Stories in 50 Days” featured on our website and in our outreach efforts in the weeks to come.
Next time you hear from us…
From this Saturday's kick off until Election Day, HousingWorks RI will focus almost exclusively on the Vote Yes on 9 campaign and will communicate under that banner. Stay tuned for the latest campaign news, events in your area and opportunities to get involved!
