Approved Affordable Housing Plans for Rhode Island Towns and Cities
Twenty-nine Rhode Island cities and towns have developed local affordable housing plans. These plans are required and approved by the state. The plans describe how the municipality will ensure that its housing stock meets the needs of its residents. The state’s standard is that 10 percent of each community’s housing stock be affordable.
The plans are available online at www.planning.ri.gov/housing/plans.htm
