Hundreds gather for HousingWorks RI kick-off

Many of you were among hundreds of business executives, political leaders and housing advocates celebrating the release of HousingWorks RI 's first “ Rhode Island 's Housing Affordability Fact Book” yesterday at Pearl Street Lofts in Providence. Governor Carcieri, House Majority Leader Gordon Fox, state Sen. John Tassoni and Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce President Laurie White told the crowd that solving Rhode Island 's housing shortage is crucial to the health of the state's economy and its people. The media coverage included front page stories in the Providence Journal yesterday and today.
