Providence Journal readers respond to HousingWorks RI Fact Book

HousingWorks RI members working with Burrillville to increase affordable housing
HousingWorks RI member Grow Smart RI was in the news recently, praising Burrillville’s efforts to implement its affordable housing plan. Burrillville’s Village Planned Development ordinance, passed last year, encourages responsible development that preserves open space and takes advantage of existing infrastructure in the town’s villages.
An important part of Burrillville’s progress is the redevelopment of the Stillwater Mill clock tower building in Harrisville. HousingWorks RI member Woonsocket Neighborhood Development Corporation is overseeing that project. To read the Woonsocket Call article, click here.
