Cape & ADU
What is a Cape?
The Cape is based on a more historical New England type that was popular in the early 1900’s. Mostly found in suburbs, the Cape is a one-and-a-half story house with bedrooms on the second floor. Similar to the Five-Bay Center Entrance, the Cape has a center entrance and staircase with rooms organized around it. Lot sizes vary depending on area, however are usually standard sized suburban lots. Garage size and placement also varies. Options for this type of house include, but are not limited to, a garage conversion (if one exists and is large enough), an interior conversion, or an exterior addition.
