A weekend staffer at Harrington Hall, a homeless shelter in Cranston, has tested positive for COVID-19, the agency that runs it said Monday.
The person works part-time on weekend nights and full-time with another shelter provider, according to Crossroads RI. The person is currently in the hospital.
The person reported to work Friday night, but was sent home after a temperature screening on arrival at work. The policy of taking some employees’ temperatures before they are allowed to begin work has been in place in recent days, the agency said.
